      Adding a Personal LinkedIn Account

      This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough on connecting your LinkedIn profile to Orlo. Manage your content and comments efficiently, all within the Orlo platform

      Things to consider ✅

      • You will need the login details for the personal profile that you want to connect to Orlo
      • Users will need the 'Administer Accounts' permission enabled in the 'Account Settings' to add accounts to Orlo

      • Employee Advocacy - Connect employee accounts who promote your organisation and have clear oversight of what is being posted to help minimise reputational risk in one centralised view
      • Increased Reach - Use Executive Leader's accounts or location-based profiles to increase the visibility of your posts to spread important information and produce relevant content that will resonate with your audience
      • Improved Trust - Information from personal profiles can be considered more trustworthy by members of the public

       

      How to connect your personal LinkedIn account: 

       

      1)  Navigate to the menu drop-down in the top right-hand corner and select the 'Settings' button. 

       

       

      2) In the Account Settings area, select the 'Manage Social Accounts' button. 

       

       

       

       

      3)  In the accounts area select the 'LinkedIn Personal Account' option. You will then be required to add the email address and password for the account. Once you have connected your account, this will show up as an option in your accounts area to start creating content on the account. 

       

       

      4) Once you have added your accounts, click 'Finish' in the top right-hand corner of the accounts settings page to navigate back to the main home screen.

      Limitations ⚠️

      • Targeting options for content are not available for personal profiles
      • Natively posted content on the personal profile can't be imported
      • Video stats are not available for personal profiles on LinkedIn 
      • Only comments are available for personal profiles, DMs and mentions will not show in the inbox 
      • There may be a delay in importing comments for social media posts that have been posted (around 30 minutes). Orlo can't pull in any comments for natively posted content on the account

       

      ✅ Usual post metrics such as Clicks, Comments, Likes and Shares will still be available in the analytics reports area.
