Creating Custom Widgets in Orlo Insights

This guide explains how to personalise your Orlo Insights widgets to display specific data sets and choose the visualisations you want to see for your analysis.

Things to consider ✅

  • Users will need the 'View Insights' permission enabled in the 'User Settings' area to access Insights.

Custom widgets allow users to personalise data visualisation that is most relevant to your organisation's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).  Ensuring that you're seeing the information that you need, leading to better analysis and more actionable insights.

Creating Custom Widgets

1) Navigate to the 'My Reports' button on the Insights dropdown.

2) Click '+ Create Report' and select the 'Make Your Own' button.

3) Select the chart type that you want to use, and the data sets that you want to report on and click 'Save'.

Reporting Fields:

  • Response Times
  • Sentiment
  • Results

Broken Down By:

  • Date
  • Visibility - Public/ Private Messages
  • Inbox Tags
  • Sentiment
  • Language
  • Channel
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Location
  • Emotion
  • Classification

4) You can utilise the filtering option to refine the results displayed in your custom widget. For instance, this example is analysing the emotions of messages on X for individuals aged 40 and above.

5) Once you have added your filters, add the name of your widget and click 'Save' to add the widget to your report.

3) Once you have added your widgets and reordered them to suit your reporting layout, give your report a name and click 'Save'. Depending on the access levels for the report, this will save it either to your public or private report area.

We recommend removing the date filter for any custom widgets, as this will affect the global date filters on the report.
