Creating a Dashboard

This guide explains how to use Orlo's Dashboard functionality to bring together widgets from various platform areas into a single, unified view. Learn the steps to create personalised dashboards and add the widgets you need.

Things to consider ✅

  • To create a Dashboard Template, you must be an admin user. 
  • Users can create multiple dashboards 
  • Once a dashboard is saved, it is visible to that user only.

Creating a Dashboard 

 

1) Navigate to the 'Manage' Dropdown ➡️ Select '+ Create New Dashboard'. 

 

 

2) The next step is to start adding your widgets to the dashboard. To do this, click on the ➕ button and select from the widget library. 

Widgets Options

Content & Inspiration:

  • RSS Feeds: Integrate articles from RSS feeds for content discovery.
  • Profile Search: Find and share content from X and Facebook pages.

Engagement & Monitoring:

  • Inbox (Individual Message Mode): View and manage digital conversations as individual messages.
  • Inbox (Conversation Mode): View and manage digital conversations grouped by thread.
  • Live X Stream: Monitor public (non-direct) mentions on X based on your keywords and profiles.
  • Insights Streams: Track non-direct mentions across social media and media sources from your listening streams.
  • Social Wall: See, reshare, and interact with posts from your followers on X. 

Content Management:

  • Marketing Posts:  See your live and scheduled content across all connected social media channels.

 

3) Select the widget you wish to add to your dashboard. By default, the widgets have no filters applied. However, before saving your widget, you have the option to customise the filters and add a name for your widget. 

 

Once you have added your customisation, click 'Add Widget'

4) To add other widgets, repeat the process by clicking on 'Add Widget' at the top of your dashboard. 

 

 

5) Once you have added your widgets, add the name of your dashboard and click 'Create Dashboard' 

Viewing a Dashboard

 

1) You can toggle between your dashboards by navigating to the 'Manage' dropdown and selecting the dashboard you want to see 

 

 

2) You can refresh your dashboard by clicking on the 'Refresh' button, which will keep your dashboard up to date. 

Deleting a Dashboard

 

1) To delete your dashboard, click on the 'Customise Dashboard'  button in the right-hand corner, and select 'Delete Dashboard'.

While a single dashboard with all widgets is possible, the following examples show how you can create more focused dashboards. Other approaches may be organising dashboards by team, service area, or individual channel.
