Exporting Conversations

Need to save or share your conversations? This guide explains how to easily export threads of messages directly from your inbox.

Things to consider ✅

  • To export conversations from the inbox, users must have the 'Administer Company' permission activated in their 'User Settings'.
  • When you export conversations from X, you will receive a link to the original message in the download, as X does not support conversation exports. 
  • Users will need to be in Conversation Mode in the inbox to use the Conversation Export feature. 
  • To export all messages in the inbox, users will need to be in Individual Message Mode.

Conversation Export 

 

Orlo provides a conversation export feature that allows users to extract entire social media conversation threads from the inbox. This functionality is useful for downloading customer interactions. 

 

Users can also use the 'Tamper Check' feature, putting a digital timestamp on a message, which is useful if any social interactions are needed as evidence, even if the message has been altered. 

 

How to download a conversation: 

 

1) Navigate to the 'Inbox' button at the top of the dashboard.

 

 

2) Once you have located the conversation that you want to download, click on the Icon at the top bar of the message view. You can either choose to export without a Tamper Check or with a Tamper Check. 

 

If you choose the tamper check option, you will be prompted to create a security code. This code must be entered when you open the downloaded document for security purposes.

 

 

 

 

Once you click on 'Export Messages', a download link will be sent to the email address linked to your Orlo account.

 

Exporting all messages in the Inbox 

 

1) In the inbox, when in individual message mode, click on the 'Useful Things' icon at the bottom left-hand corner and select the 'Inbox Export' button.  Users will receive an email with the download. 

 

 

If no filters are set, the export will include all messages in your inbox. If you do apply filters, only the messages in the filtering options will be included in the export.
