Facebook business pages and groups
Orlo can only support Facebook business pages or groups, so if you’re trying to connect a personal account, this is where you’re going wrong! If you don’t have a Facebook business page, here’s Facebook’s guide on how to set one up. If you’d like to create a Facebook group, then try this guide instead.
Adding your Facebook business page to Orlo
To use your Facebook business page or group in Orlo, you have to first add it to your list of social accounts. You can do this by heading to Settings, selecting Manage Social Accounts and then choosing the type of Facebook account you want to add. You need to be a page or group admin in order to do this.
User permissions
To add or edit Facebook business pages or groups in Orlo you need to be a page or group admin. If you’re not sure who the page or group admin is, head to Settings on Facebook where you will see the page or group roles clearly listed. Contact this person for help.
Business Manager/Business Suite
Facebook has launched ‘Business Suite’ as a replacement for Business Manager. Depending on which one you are currently using, checking user permissions and account maintenance actions may look different compared to what you’re used to. If you’re using Business Suite, you can switch back to Business Manager by clicking the ‘Give Feedback’ button.
Re-authenticating your Facebook account
From time to time, you may be required to re-authenticate your account when prompted to by Orlo. To find out how to re-authenticate your account, here’s an article with everything you need to know.
We are aware of an issue with re-authentication steps failing to re-authenticate the page or group. If you’re struggling, please:
- Check that you are a page or group admin but also have permissions to manage the page or group.
- Ask a page or group admin to remove you and add you back in again.
- Ask someone else to use their login to try and re-authenticate the account.
