Filtering Ad Comments in the Inbox

Streamline your social media inbox with Orlo's comment filtering. Discover how to filter Facebook and Instagram Ad comments to distinguish between paid and organic engagement.

Things to consider ✅

  • The Ad filter for comments is only available on Facebook and Instagram. To see Ad comments across other networks you will have to do this in the native platform.
  • The Ad filter is in individual message mode only and is not supported in conversation mode in the Orlo inbox.

How to filter Ad comments:

1) Navigate to the 'Inbox' button to open the inbox to see your social media messages.

2) On the left-hand side, click the ' Add Filter' button ➡️ Select the 'Individual Messages' option.

3) In the individual messages filter option select the 'Ad Comments' dropdown ➡️ select the 'Paid Comments' button ➡️ Click 'Apply Filters'

This will show you all your Ad comments across your Facebook and Instagram Accounts. You can add multiple filters such as the 'Account's' filter to be more granular with your filtering options.

Top Tips 💡

  • To analyse your ad comments, consider using the message tagging feature in the inbox.  For instructions on how to tag messages, refer to our Message Tagging guide. By tagging your Ad comments, you can use this to filter your inbox report allowing you to track the number of messages received, look at sentiment, and identify your top engagers related to your Ads.
  • To easily distinguish between your paid and organic comments use the Dashboard functionality to create separate inbox widgets for organic and paid comments. See our help guide on creating dashboards for more information.
