For X, you can tag a maximum of 10 profiles.

For Instagram, you must use the exact @ handle to tag a profile. Profile searching isn't available through the API for Instagram, though you can search for X handles.

4. Tagging an Image on Instagram
Navigating to the composer area:
1) To navigate to the composer, users can select the 'Compose Post' drop-down in the top right-hand corner. This will bring down the composer to start creating content.
2) Next, users will need to select the account that they want to post to tag the image for.
Uploading an image:
1) To add an image, users can click on the paperclip icon or the plus button in the composer and select the image that they want to add (users can add one or multiple images).
2) Users will need to make sure they are in split post mode to be able to bring up the image tagging option.
Tagging an Image on X:
1) Once the image has been uploaded, users can click on the three dots on the image in the Composer and select the 'Tag a Profile' button.
This will open the profile search area, allowing users to begin typing the account's @ handle. Users can then select the appropriate profile to tag the image. Users can repeat the process to add more than one handle.
Once the account/ accounts have been tagged, users can select the 'Save Edits' button to add the tags to the image.
Tagging an Image on Instagram:
1) Once the image has been uploaded, users can click on the three dots on the image in the Composer and select the 'Tag a Profile' button.
Users must input the exact @ handle of the Instagram account they wish to tag in the image. After entering the handle, they can select the account to complete the tagging process.
Once the account/ accounts have been tagged, users can select the 'Save Edits' button to add the tags to the image. Users can repeat the process to add more than one handle.
