Discover the advantages of using the Orlo Insights' pre-designed template reports or creating custom reports to gain specific insights from your external listening and inbox analysis.
Things to consider ✅
- Users will need the 'View Insights' permission enabled in the 'User Settings' area to access Insights.
Benefits of using the Insights Reporting 🙌
- Understand Public Sentiment - Use the sentiment and emotion reporting across your data set in a single report. Look at common themes and understand positivity and negativity surrounding your organisation.
- Inform content strategy - Utilise the Insights reports for research into campaigns to help develop content that will drive behaviour change
- Identify Emerging Trends - Monitor spikes in your Insights report data and track themes over time to stay informed about how audience conversations surrounding your organisation or topics are changing.
Template Reports in Insights
If you're beginning to explore the Orlo Insights reports, the template reports allow users to easily generate reports that provide an overview of your direct and indirect mentions across social media and media monitoring.
Template Report Options
There are four template reports available in the Insights reporting area, which are made up of different insights widgets to analyse your data. The four template reports are:
- Brand Report - Pulls in multiple insights widgets for sentiment and emotion data, trust score, positive and negative themes and results over time to see an overview of your data and understand areas for improvement.
- Trend Report - provides an overview of your data over time, enabling you to identify patterns, react to changes, and gain a deeper understanding of how your audience's conversations and interactions have changed.
- Product Experience Report - Gives an overview of how your audience is talking about services or topics. This report is great for understanding public perception (both positive and negative), which is useful for both customer service and comms teams for making long-term strategy decisions.
- Demographic Report - Helps you understand the "who" behind your inbox and listening stream data, by providing a breakdown of your audience using demographic data.
Using a Template Report

Custom Reports
Custom reports and widgets allow users to personalise data visualisation that is most relevant to your organisation's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensuring that you're seeing the information that you need, leading to better analysis and more actionable insights.
Examples of customisation:
- Reports filtered to campaign messages to measure sentiment
- Custom widgets looking at different emotion levels per channel and age group
- Customer Service Reports filtered by different channels and users
- Custom widgets analysing specific keywords and comparing them to other topics based on the number of results
