Setting Up Social Media Campaigns

This guide outlines the process of creating campaigns in Orlo, enabling you to group social media content and analyse campaign performance

Things to consider βœ…

  • For users to create, edit and delete campaigns, the 'Manage Campaigns' permission will need to be enabled in the 'Account Settings' area

Benefits πŸ™Œ

  • Organisation - Easily group pieces of content. This may be for things such as  corporate priorities, behaviour change campaigns, promotions and service areas and easily see how all the social content is performing in those campaigns through the Campaign Report

How to set up a Campaign:

1) Navigate to the 'Analytics' menu and select the 'Campaign Report' option.

2) Select the '+ New Campaign' button on the top right-hand corner and give your campaign a name.

3) You have the option to create either a parent campaign or a child campaign. For the differences between the two, we recommend looking at our 'Understanding Campaigns' guide. To create a parent campaign, leave the 'Parent' dropdown menu empty.  To create a child campaign, select the appropriate parent campaign from the dropdown list.

4) Next, select the start date for your campaign. If you have content that is already live, you can choose a date from the past. Additionally, you have the option to set an end date for your campaign; however, you can also end it manually at any time by clicking on the 'Finish' button. Once you've made your selections, click 'Save' to create your campaign.

How to Edit, Delete and Finish your Campaign:

3) You can edit campaigns in the 'Live Campaigns' area and select the 'πŸ“Ž Edit' button. This will allow you to change the name, date, and option to make it a parent or child campaign.

4) To delete a campaign, click on the 'Completed Campaigns' section and select the πŸ—‘οΈicon. You can also click the 'Go Live' button if you want to restart any campaigns. To finish a campaign, click on the 'Finish' button in the Live Campaign area.

  • If you delete any campaigns, all the data will be deleted from Orlo. We recommend only deleting a campaign once you have done your analysis.
  • If you finish a campaign, this prevents it from being an option in the Compose tab - any metrics received after a Campaign is finished will still count towards the reporting.
  • You can only delete a campaign once it is finished

Viewing a Campaign:

5) You can see all of your campaigns in the 'Live Campaigns' and 'Completed Campaigns' and use the toggle option to view either area. You can also run your Campaign Report by selecting the 'View' button.

Adding a Campaign to a Post:

6) Navigate to the 'Compose Post βœ’οΈ' icon in the top right-hand corner to load the composer.

Click the 'Orlo Tags and Campaigns' dropdown ➑️ Click the 'Campaign' dropdown option.
