Team Permissions

Use team permissions to group users based on their roles and grant them access to specific accounts and platform areas. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for implementing team permissions to enhance your social media management.

Benefits of Team Permissions 🙌

  • Time Saving - Group together users who need similar access levels rather than assigning this individually if you have lots of users
  • Organisation - Allows admin users to have oversight of teams who are on Orlo and easily see what features and social accounts they have access to
  • Streamlined approach - Users in each team will only see the tools that are necessary for their role, making navigation of the platform easier

Creating a team:

1) Navigate to the menu drop-down in the top right-hand corner and select the 'Settings' button.

2) Click on the 'Company Teams' button in the company settings area and select '+ New Team' to create your team.

3Next, add the team name and description and click 'Create Team.'

Team examples:

  • Administrators
  • Communications Team
  • Customer Service Team
  • Campaigns Team

4) To assign permissions for the team, click on the 'Users & Permissions' button. This will allow you to set the appropriate permissions at both the company and social account levels. After adding the permissions, you can proceed to add the users who should be included in the team by clicking on '+ User to Teambutton.

5) Once you have created your team, you can repeat the process to create multiple teams.

Company Level vs Social Account Permissions

Company Level Permissions - Overarching permissions for the defining admin levels and access to platform areas settings include:

Admin functionality:

  • Adding, deleting, and editing social accounts
  • Managing users
  • Managing Billing
  • Company lockdown for your account
  • Manage the approval process

Feature Control:

  • Manage areas of the platform that users can access, e.g, View Analytics

Social Account Permissions - Define access levels per social media account for users to be able to interact with the account

  • Post out on the account
  • Manage and reply to inbound messages
  • Post out and reply with or without approval
  • delete comments

Things to consider ✅

The user who activates the account will automatically be added to the administrators team. You can then add other users who will need admin access levels
