Benchmarking Report Glossary

Understanding your Benchmarking Report is key to gauging your success and identifying areas of improvement not to mention making it easier to shout about your amazing ROI. We’ve put this glossary together to ensure every part is easy to digest

  • My Brands - Brands that you own and control.
  • Competitors - Brands owned by other companies which you want to compare your brands against.

 

  • Total Posts - The amount of social posts that a brand or competitor has created, split across the three social networks covered and broken down by post type; Plain text, Image or Video.
  • Average Engagement - This tells you the average number of engagements a post shared by this brand or competitor generated. Depending on the data provided by the social network, engagements can include Likes, Comments, Shares, Clicks and Reactions
  • Average Daily Posts - This shows the average number of posts that were published by this brand or competitor daily
  • Average Engagement Rate - This shows the average level of engagement the content shared by this brand or competitor has generated daily We get this percentage by dividing the average number of engagements per post by the total number of followers the brand or competitor has and multiplying this by 100. The follower count is taken from the last day of the reported date range.



  • Top Posts - Here we show the top 3 posts for each brand or competitor in the report, for each social network monitored for that brand or competitor.

 

  • Top Hashtags - The most commonly used hashtags in the content published by the brands or competitors in the report.



  • Top Words - The most commonly used words in the content published by the brands or competitors in the report.



  • Follower Count - This shows the daily total of people who follow this brand or competitor, so you can see how this fluctuates.


  • Audience Growth Rate - This tells you the percentage increase or decrease in followers for this brand or competitor over the reported time period
