Workflows

Workflows ensure that your dashboard, statistics and inbox are organised and quick to load. By setting up workflows you will also be able to bulk upload posts, quickly filling the calendars of the social accounts within that workflow.

Tip: If you have too many accounts loaded on the system the dashboard will not load until you create workflows

Example applications for workflows

There are many ways to use workflows, here are a couple of examples:

  • Geographical: If you have social accounts which cover a certain region, you can split these up, for example 'UK' or 'North East'.

  • This is used by Orlo clients who have places of business and/or dealerships across the UK, enabling them to bulk upload locally relevant content to regional social accounts, instead of blanket marketing messages.

  • Brand/Department/Faculty: The last thing you want to do is post a message to the wrong brand's social account. Keep yourself organised by creating brand-specific workflows, so when you look at your incoming messages you know exactly which account is being responded to.

  • Almost all Orlo clients are managing social accounts for multiple branches of their organisation. Universities are a great example of how to use workflows to keep social posts going out to the correct faculty.

  • Campaign: If you have set up social accounts for a specific campaign, you are likely going to want to bulk upload posts specifically for these accounts, and focus on these incoming messages separate from your other accounts.

  • As an example, many NHS trusts often use Orlo to set up campaign social accounts and benefit from keeping these completely separate from their corporate accounts.

How to set up your workflows

Log into your Orlo account and select Workflows from the top right hand side of the dashboard, then select "Manage Workflows" from the drop-down menu.

You will then be taken to the screen below. Select "New Workflow".

Choose a name for your workflow and click "Create".

You will then see a list of all the accounts that you have permissions to access under the title Unlinked Accounts. Simply click the grey arrow to select which accounts that you would like to be added to your new workflow.

When you are happy with your selection, click "Save". You will then be taken back to the previous page where you will be able to see your newly created Workflow.
